In 1956, Cliff Gregoire began G & M Landscaping, a lawn maintenance service, with a customer base targeting the western suburbs of Cleveland.

In 1956, G & M Landscaping accepted their first landscaping and sod project for model homes. Throughout projects like these, it was difficult to find a supplier in the area for turfgrass sod. So G & M began growing their own sod in 1960. In 1965 Medina Sod and G & M Landscaping became incorporated. Over the years Medina Sod has been involved with numerous landscaping and sodding projects, including many golf courses, colleges, professional and amateur sports stadiums, baseball fields, state and municipal jobs.

In the late 1970's Medina Sod Farms decided to phase out the landscaping division and began focusing company resources on increased sod production and farm expansion. Currently, Medina Sod has locations in both Medina and Wayne counties. In addition to sod, they also sell a variety of landscaping supplies.

Medina Sod Farms has always been a family run organization. Clifford Gregoire started G & M Landscaping and Medina Sod Farms. Scott Gregoire, the oldest son is the farm manager. Ryan Gregoire, the youngest son, operates Ag Design, a company focused on athletic and large construction projects, using Medina Sod Farms turf and landscaping supplies.

Medina Sod Farms is a member of Turfgrass Producers International, the Ohio Landscapers Association, and The Ohio Sod Producers Association. Medina Sod Farms is proud of their 35-year history in the northern Ohio area, and they are looking forward to many years of successful growing.
